Country Green Turf Farms offer a variety of services to help you establish and / or maintain a sodded or seeded lawn. Our capabilities range from a simple fertilizer application to a complete lawn establishment program. Follow the link on the lower left corner of this page for a description of the services we offer. BIG ROLL SOD

As an option to our already popular turf, we offer a large roll format that measures 42 inches wide and up to 145 feet long. This method allows us to install more sod for you in less time than it would take a traditional labor pool. Primarily utilized on larger open space projects due to the installation equipment.

Seeding

BRILLION DRILL SEEDING

A mechanical means of seeding large open areas, using the same equipment we use to establish our premium turf fields. The seed is applied at precise controlled rates and then pressed into the soil, which enhances germination rate. This process is applicable to golf courses, sports fields, and any other large open fields where a quality application is desired. Normally being less expensive than Hydroseeding on large jobs, brillion drill seeding can save you money and get the job done right.

SLICE SEEDING

Slice seeding is an excellent way to overseed an existing sports field or large open space area. Slice seeding addresses many lawn problems quickly, easily and with very little mess. When lawn renovation is needed, slice seeding actually plants new seed into the soil without stripping the existing sod or tilling the entire surface.

STRAW BLOWING

Applying straw by hand as a method of erosion control is a tedious, slow and painstaking job. Our powerful straw blower can quickly and evenly apply up to seven tons of straw per hour shooting the straw up to 60 feet out, in still air.

Maintenance / Renovation

FERTILIZER & LIME

A mechanical means of applying fertilizer and lime in large open areas with precise 100% coverage. Applicable for golf courses, sports fields, parks, schools, and other large open areas. No more hand fertilizing & liming. No bags to clean up.

TOP DRESSING

Top dressing is an essential part of field and park renovation. After core aerating, slice seeding and fertilizing, top dressing is the last step in getting the results you are looking for in your park or field. It works by increasing the average particle size in the soil. Larger more irregular particles in the soil, creates more airspace between the particles. Top dressing can improve drainage, allow soil to exchange gases with the atmoshpere better, and promote the development of soil microflora and microfauna.

AERATING

Aerification is a mechanical process used to cultivate the soil without destruction of the turf. Country Green has the right core aerator for your large project. Core aerating can help make your lawn healthier and reduce maintenance requirements through these means:

Improved air exchange between soil and atmosphere

Improved fertilizer use and uptake
Reduced water runoff and puddling

TILLING

Country Green is also equipped with a soil renovator. This machine does the work of several machines in a single pass. It creates a seedbed by cultivating, burying stones, clods, grass and debris of many existing surfaces. Used mainly on sports fields, golf fairways, and green spaces.
